Electric Shavers

For the past 6 months, I had been buzzing my head with no clipper guard which left me with visible stubble. While cleaning out the bathroom closet two weeks ago week, I found my old Norelso triple head electric shaver. It had not been used since 1978 when I grew my beard. The Norelco was headed for the trash can when I decided to see if it still worked. I plugged it in and it started running. Since it was working, I decided to shave my head with it. The Norelco gave me a close headshave . My head felt like sandpaper, but there was no visible stubble and my head shined like glass. I have used it every day for the past two weeks. I bought a bottle of William's Lectric Shave Pre-Shave Lotion and have been using it on my head.
Does anyone else use an electric shaver?

I use a Norelco Speed XL a few days a week. You're right no visible stubble but it feels like sandpaper. U
I get my closest shaves with a Gillette Fusion. There is no sand paper feel at all with it. I recently tried a Remington Foil and was shocked at how close it shaved. Not as close as a Gillette but much closer than my Norelco. It left no sand paper feel either.

I'm using an extremely old Philishave machine, it does left me with a sandpaper like head, but it is the only option for me cause razors just irrritates my scalp. Hopefully my new Panasonic LA-93 will arrives next week and will try to give my feedback abou it. cheers!

When pressed for time I use my trusty Braun series 5 with Kroger brand pre-electric shave.
I get a very close shave, but my current weapon of choice is the Schick Hydro 5 with edge gel and shave secret as a prep.

Yeah, if you care to shave a couple times a day and not feel like you've really shaved, electric shavers are a quick and dirty way to deal with the dome. I've done the deed with a Norelco and didn't feel like it was shaved. I also used it late in the day for the "5 o'clock shadow" when I didn't use a new blade earlier in the day and I wanted to look smooth without shaving twice in a day and chance skin burn.
I also tried the Panasonic Linear. It's one of those close ones. I think Braun is another brand that can also cut it real close.
They're all OK, if you want "almost" and/or maybe you're afraid of cutting yourself, but none of them are really as close as a blade.

I'm newly SLY so I've been experimenting. I own a Braun Series 7 razor. I primarily been shaving with a blade, but I use the electric "in between" shaves. I must say that it works very well. The Braun shaves close. It certainly doesn't smooth the noggin like a good blade, but it will certainly work on those mornings when the snooze button gets hit a few times to many and a quick shave is needed to maintain the sly look.

Hi all!
I finally got my Panasonic ES-LA93. I've used it for the first time today, I shaved my head and face in the shower. Well, I still need to get used to handle it, I got no irritation at all, just perfect, but it took me around 15 minutes to shave it completely. It left my head and face really smooth, still some spots aren't as smooth as others but I do believe it is due to the lack of experience handling the shaver since while shaving I tried different positions and found that sometimes it shaves better than others, so I think I really have to keep the same angle all the time, but with time I will learn the best way to handle it.
I don't have any experience shaving my head with a blade, I've tried once but I got a lot of pimples and some irritation even shaving WTG, I still remember the feeling of the WTG shave and compared with the electric, the electric got a much closer and smooth shave. Every now and then, despite the fact that it irritates my face, I used to shave my face ATG, I find it as smooth as ATG, really great.
Cutting a long story short, I couldn't be happier with it! Looking forward to shave again tomorrow morning
Cheers!

Well, I've finally manage to shave my head completely smooth, I was having problems getting it smooth on the back of my scalp, the trick was to go really slow on that part with the electric razor, first WTG and then ATG. Using a shaving oil and shave in the shower may help a bit! Mine is the LA93, but I think they are really similar so you may get really close shave just like I can.
Cheers!

I had been shaving with an old Norelco triple head shaver. Two weeks ago, I got a Conair CleanHead shaver. This shaver is low cost (less than $30) and gives a a nice close shave without nicks or rash or bumps. The smooth feel of my head and the shine are great.

Hey guys I was wondering has anyone of you guys tried using Panasonic ES8077S wet/dry linear shaver on your head? It seems that this is one of their older versions and newer similar versions have come out. What version is the newer version of this? I have read very good reviews on this shaver for the head from different resources. Also I don't know but if I get a linear panasonic shaver, can I also use it on my face? My Norelco shaver which I only use for my face is getting really old and is not doing too well.
Thanks...

I have been thinking about an electric razor as well.
Google 'Panasonic Razor'
You will get the page there.
Plenty of wet/dry razors to look at there.
They will shave whatever part of your anatomy you desire
I tried to copy the link for you but as usual something goes wrong.
Love computers me !

Thanks bro...
Based on your recommendation, I looked at the panasonic website and it seems that the newest models that kind of resemble the ES8077S are ES8249A or ES8243A. I am sure they are both good. One thing that I am def. looking for is 13000 RPM linear motor so that it doesn't slow down if the battery goes low.
I am tired of buying cheap shavers and having to struggle to shave my face. Also I am thinking about shaving my head too soon (I am 25 and going bald fast) so I want to get something that works both on my face and head.
Now kind of curious, what type of shaving solution do you recommend using with this? One of those pre-electric solutions you can buy for really cheap? or something of higher quality?

Braun Series 7 works very well. I use it on my face every day and on my head, when I'm too lazy to use the HeadBlade. The Braun works very well. I can get it almost as smooth at the HB.
