New head shaver :)

Hello everyone. My names Russ. I'm 33 with a full head of hair. Gone from a pomp to a short messy style then to a flattop and in the past month or so I've been buzzing it down to a #1 on top with bald back. I just shaved it completely bald for the first time Monday night.  I'm a little nervous to be honest. You know... What will people say? Do I look like Uncle Fester... Lol. Blah blah.... Anyway... I'm happy to have found this site! Great info here. Thanks!

So I'm feeling a bit more comfortable... Shaved again tonight and loved every minute of it! Used my Fusion, then some thayers witch hazel follwed up with a little tea tree cream and then some shea butter.... I am loving the feel, smell and look of the new shaved dome... I just need some color up there asap....

Had the same sensation when shaved my head for the first time several years ago. I also have a full head, not MPB. People really don't care, most reactions will be positive so don't worry about that. And you'll have color very quicky.
And YES, the sensation is so good you will always want to re-shave it again and again. It's addicting.

Hi guys i am new here on the sly bald forum but have been smooth shaving my head almost every day for the last 15 years or so and now i am on the way to go under the laser in the next few days to let my dream of a shadowless and permanent baldness come true

Glad to hear you are liking your new look Buzzcubb. Don't worry about others' perceptions of you. Your true friends and loved ones won't judge you negatively. Yeah, you might get some nicknames at first, but that's only because it's a drastic change. In time you will be accepted for your domey-ness. What truly matters is that you are comfortable and happy with it.  8)
