Hello everyone
« on: November 16, 2010, 09:05:35 PM »
Hello everyone,

I first noticed around the age of 15(I am now 19) that my hair was no longer thick and dark. I could see more and more of my scalp with the passing of time, I tried everything, from shampoos to pills, and all kinds of oils. All useless. Anyway, I've accepted it. I keep it buzzed really short now. I can't bring myself to shave it completely, but after reading many of the encouraging posts on here, I think I might  ;D
All of the posts here, have been extremely helpful, they have really given a boost to my confidence. Everyone is very supportive, it's the best forum I've seen.

Welcome to the community buddy, I hope you enjoy your stay. Everyone here are very nice and are willing to answer any questions you may have about shaving.

I was in the same boat as you, my hair started fading in my mid to late teens. Since you keep your hair really short, you should just take the leap and shave your head. If you don't like it you'll have your normal hair length back in two  or three weeks. Think of the first shave as a test drive. Just make sure you read some of the threads on here about avoiding irritation. The first couple shaves might be a little rough because its new and your head needs to adjust to being shaved. Maybe shave with the grain the first time, and if you like being half shave against the grain your second time.

Thank you for welcoming me to the community guys, I appreciate it. I have been thinking about chrome-doming it for a while, one of these days I'll build up enough courage, and do it. I have a whole month before I go back to school, I might do the 30 day trial.  8)

Definitely give it a shot buddy, I'm actually doing the 30 day trial right now (before I just shaved whenever). If you can go to your local  Walgreens or CVS and buy a Headblade (only like $15) it really makes shaving a lot easier.
