I'm a little late but here goes.......basic combat training 1979 Ft Bliss Tx, My mos was as a vulcan crewman [ a 20mm gatling gun mounted on the great m113 armored personel carrier]. Enjoyed army life very much, I really fell in love with the desert southwest. Thanks to all who served or are serving this great country!

I feel as I may have made a joke out of this thread and I wasnt meant to poke fun or make fun of those who have. I appreciate everyone ..male and female who have served our country in keeping it what it is. We do not realize the freedoms that we do have here. Keep fighting for our country men and ladies.

Hey Trucker,
My dad was aboard the Forrestal as an aviation machinist. His squadron was the first to make the F4 Phantom carrier operational. That was a long time ago...
Myself, USS Mount Hood (AE29), Gulf of Tonkin, 1972.
