I had been wearing a rug for 28 years.I began wearing one at age 16.I made it all the way through high school without anyone finding out but I could never bring myself to take it off after high school.I was talking about taking it off ten years ago but couldn't bring myself to do it and then a week ago I found this site by accident and started reading all the posts and decided to take off the piece and shave my head.I just got out of the shower and came right here to thank all of you for giving me the courage to go through with it.I love it and have never felt so free.My wife and daughter are both asleep and had no idea I was going to do this so I can't wait until morning when they wake up.I just want to say thank you again to all of you.

All the best to you, Glock.
Please keep us posted on your wife's reaction. As someone who's wife does not like the look, I'm curious how your wife reacts.
Welcome.

Good morning Glockmeister and welcome. Good luck with your wife and daughter! If they object to the new you, I am sure that if you stick to your guns they will come around. I hope to hear from you in the future. And by all means don't forget the 30 day rule.

Welcome to the freedom--your family only knows the "bald you" with the fringe and I'd bet that cleaned up, possibly given a little time, they'll come to like this. And because you'll have a better attitude you'll be nicer to be around. Post up a picture.

The wife likes the way it looks. My daughter doesn't like it but it was quite a shock to her.Over time she will get used to it I'm sure.I will post a picture as soon as I get one taken of me.

You're right kids really have a "thing" about what parents look like, they get embarassed by change--it's our way of evening up the score when they cause our hair to fall out in the first place.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum, Glockmeister! Glad you could join us! From your screen name I take it that you are a fan of Gaston's little goodies. You'll find a number of like-minded folks here on the SBG forum.
