I'm diggin' this whole thing.
My skin is adjusting and I can even go ATG now. Still get a few bumps but I don't think it's ingrown hairs, just sensitivity, and it seems to be resolving itself. Washing 3-4 times a day and using witch hazel seems to be the key. The HeadBlade still scares me a bit, although I do use it for the first pass. I seem to fall back on my fusion for touch ups and ATG in the back. HeadSlick is a great product. Then it's Bump Patrol which stings like a MF and then feels awesome. Finishing it off Clubman just gives it that "je ne sais quoi."
I'm finding the smooth thing to be quite addictive. I'll start off saying, "Ah, I'll just do one WTG pass and call it a day," but invariably, I wind up doing the ATG pass for the ultra-smoothness. What can I say? Sly is the sh*t!
The only thing I haven't solved yet is the oily scalp issue. The Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash does a great job of cleaning but I'm wondering if there's something that inhibits oil production.
So thanks, guys, for all the info and support. You all really helped me make this transition which seemed so daunting a month ago, and now just feels awesome.
SFL.

Congrats on reaching the 30 day mark Adam. Sly is great isn't it

Keeping the dome clean keeps it clear. Another satisfied customer.
Note to lurkers and fencers reading this--this could be you, today--clean up, live free.

Congrats Adam! I've been trying the ProActiv system and it seems to be keeping my oil in check. You've probably seen their commercials - it's the three-step anti-acne regimen. So far, so good at keeping it balanced, you might want to check it out. Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash is also good, but it tends to dry me out a little too much so I've been experimenting.
Adam,
I'm in the same boat as you are! I am getting to where the stubble annoys me and I have to clear it out, but I keep getting the bumps in the back areas. Next gotta get the tan and avoid the uncle fester jokes with my partner!! Stupid ADAMS FAMILY!! LOL
Congratulations Adam! Well done.
