We'd need to see a picture, being careful or using an electric should get you over this "hump." [sorry the pun was too obvious.]  Don't let it stop you from moving forward.

I can't find any pics on the web, but check out some reruns of Smallville and take a look at the back of Michael Rosenbaum's head.  It's exactly as you described, and it doesn't look bad at all.

thanks guys. I will have to take a look at those. And about shaving over it, that is also one of my worries. I feel like it would be difficult to get all the hair off without cutting myself.

I have a whacking great bump on the back of my head and to be honest I have never really thought about it being a bad thing.  It is probably far less noticeable to everyone else.  Also I have never had a problem shaving over it as it is big enough to be like a gradual hill rather than a sharp bump.

Got one of 'em too!  Did give myself a bit of a nasty cut there a couple of times when I was first starting out, but over time I learned to take things slowly and carefully around that area, and with a bit of practice things got a lot better!  8)

razor x, i took a look at michael rosenbaum and I saw a few pictures that showed the bump. Mine seems pretty similar to his but to touch it myself it feels bigger. I guess I will only know when i shave it all off.

I got one. Sticks out a little, but theres a huge slope on the bottom of it the connects to my neck. Don't think about it much, and no one has said anything about it.

The image you're getting from touching it with the hair covering it is most probably not what it will look like in reality. Imagination has it's limitations. Don't let it stop you from going sly.

Good luck - from the flat side of head shapes.

Just do it and go SLY, if you don't like it...it will grow back.  Chances are you won't want it to grow back...

Plus you can show us what it looks like then...

Hi,
I have a large bump on the back of my head too, and I think it is a matter of tast or oppinion.

I had gotten many compliments on my headshape from a lot of people, and many people say, that the sly look suits me very well.

On the other hand, my ex didn't like the bump, which was not the reason for breaking up of course.
I had kept it buzzed at that time.
I have been sly for a while now and haven't heard negative comments in a long time.

Greats
