Hair shadow

I was wondering , I just shaved my head and I still have that light brown shadow. I shaved my head to the skin , any farther and I would be taking off skin. Is there any way to get rid of that shadow? Thinking I might have to go tanning or something to blend away this shadow. Don't feel like a real sly guy with this stupid shadow on the top of head.

Nice hot shower and exfoliating before shaving may soften up the hairs a bit more...give a closer shave. But for the most part, us guys with darker hair have to deal with a bit of shadow. Don't worry...no one notices it but you!!

Greg,
Yeah...
"the shadow"
sucks, but, as mentioned, it's part of the price us fellas with darker hair have to pay, who choose
the sly road of life
. But imo, a shadow is still better than the ol' "alternatives".
There are options available, some are extreme- like
laser treatments
- to rid yourself of the shadow, but that can get rather
$$$
expensive, not to mention, a bit painful!!
Do a search within the
SBG
forum and you will find threads related to this subject, and the experiences/opinions of those
SBG
members who have chosen to have the procedure done.
But, when all is said and done, I think it's a lot easier (and cheaper) for us
"shadow guys"
to just accept the fact that the shadow is a part of us and vice-versa.
Keep in mind that those of us who have "shadows" are the ones who notice it the most!!

Within 24 hours my horseshoe is growing back. On the top takes about two days for it to show some growth. I have light brown and curly hair. The curly hair is what I believe makes the shadow come back so soon, plus my hair grows back fast. My hair will easily grow a 1/4 to 1/2 inch in two weeks if I would stop shaving.

I too have a shadow, but the more your dome is exposed to the air (sun, rain, whatever) the more the colour seems to blend the shadow in...
Adding a shine also helps, but I think it's something we obsess about that isnt truly noticed by others.

I've got the same problem. Just cant seem to get this lingering carpet of shadow off my head. But as the others before me have said, its something only we notice.

It's just so obvious that you don't get it...
That's like asking someone why they dye their hair blonde, have a mowhawk or decide to perm it.
