Brand new to here, and no hair. :)

Hey everyone. I have up. I gave in. I decided to surrender to the loss of hair war I've been having with my hair for the past few years.
I (was) blond and had fine hair and had the runway pattern baldness. I realized about 18 months ago that my combing to the side was looking like a combover and I did NOT want to look like my grandfather, or Trump. I then started combing it back and last week I realized if you looked head on to me it started to look like Dr. Phil.
So, yesterday, against my wife's desire, I clipped and bic'd it. Strange to say the least. I have a mole I knew about on my hairline temple area, that i've wanted removed for years. and a new mole center of the crown in the back I didn't know about (ouch). I put my wive's moisturizer cream on it right away as I had quite a bit of razor burn. I used my Fusion and need to find something better. My friend that shaves uses a head blade. I don't know if ya can buy them in stores but hope so. He also said it was VERY IMPORTANT to me to use a moisturizing cream with SPF in it as I live in Phoenix.
Would love advice on creams to use, or tips. thanks.

I started shaving in 1983 and have tried just about every razor. For me, the fasest, closest shaving, requiring the least strokes, is the Schick Extreme. The Schick razors are three blade and flex LATERALLY which allows them to bend around the contour of your scalp. A lot of others prefer the Gillette, etc. I advise that you try several. For shave cremes, Headslick works great, however, I now like cocoa butter rubbed into my scalp and then smearing on plain old bar soap(along with shaving in the shower). Without exception, the cocoa butter has really been great for me and it, along with plain old bar soap is a very inexpensive shave creme. Of course, condition your scalp and shave against the grain to get the closest, slickest hed possible,

Welcome to SBG Daven.
You can find lots of advice and opinions on all kind of razors and other products here on the forum. Lots of good reading. If you haven't already, be sure to post up in the introductions section and get a picture going too.

With the moles, definitely don't worry about cutting them etc. I've cut mine only a couple of times, and not badly. I have one in the same place at the back of my head, and since you're doing that bit by touch, you will be able to avoid it. In time, it will be second nature, and very easy to work around.

Welcome to the boards!
I too have a rather large mole on my head, and I must say that it actually behaves pretty well. I've actually never cut it once while shaving my dome.
