foreheads
« on: September 13, 2010, 12:51:25 PM »
Hi everybody new to this. Basically im 21 been losing my hair for a while now it really pissed me off because i would just love to shave that sucker but have reneged quite a few times. The reason for my hesitation is the fact that i have a seriously large forehead and have had even before i started losing my hair. I was just wondering has anyone had this problem and had it work out i.e. did shaving your head make your forehead seem smaller or normal.

You'll probably be surprised to find that your forehead won't appear as large once you shave your head to the skin.

There's only two ways to determine how you're going to look completely BALD.

1) Upload your photo into PHOTOSHOP and do some fancy editing.

                               OR

2) Break out the razor and shave cream and GO FOR IT!!

All in favor of #2, raise your hand...

'Nuff said!!

Go for it, dude!!

I promise you -- You won't regret it!!

Hi smidmasternasty,

Once you shave your head it's kind of like there is no forehead  ??? haha.  I say go for it.  You've nothing to lose.

Smid, go for it!  Things change when you shave the dome; not only physical looks, but your perspective.  Also, if you've read around here much at all, the truth is most people don't care too much what you like, so it comes down to what you want.  Try it, you'll like it!
Besides, if you don't like it, it can grow back.  Hair is seriously over-rated...you'll see.

Yep...depending on how far back your hairline starts....you could have the appearance of a large forehead. Go ahead and take it off and see how much better you look!!!!

No hairline (aka Sly) = no forehead... just head.  It'll smooth out that forehead to head ratio.  Not a concern.

i have a seriously large forehead and have had even before i started losing my hair.

I may be mistaken, but I suspect that you had developed a "mature" hairline before you realized it was due to mpb, consequently your impression that you had a "seriously large forehead."  If you look at the Hamilton-Norwood baldness scale you'll notice that one of the patterns is a receding hairline that could be seen as a "large forehead."  If this is your situation, as has been said above, going sly solves it because without the receding hairline defining your "forehead" it will become an integrated part of your face.   Just a thought, and since hair grows quickly, if you don't like it after 30 days, grow it back to whatever length makes you happiest.

When I had hair I had a really a big forehead, but since shaving it now looks like I have a normal size head. So you mite suprise yourself, and also most people dont care about your shadow even if they do notice.
The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the Past better than it was,
the Present worse than it is & the future less resolved than it will be.
