I went last year as a Sugar Skull. I paint my whole head up like the Dia De Los Muertos candy and wear a black turtleneck & black jeans. People are usually surprised when i do it and say they'd never thought of that before. pretty cool

Looks like a lot of work.

Halloween Week Road Trip

                        Halloween Week Road Trip!

By now, I'm sure most have heard of this electrician and his wife who, when building a new house in Waxahachie, Texas, built a replica of The Munster Mansion.

I took the kids there one year. All I can say is that it is INCREDIBLE-Both INSIDE and OUT!

Amazing that the BLUEPRINTS for the house were drawn up strictly by viewing the episodes from the original series over and over again!

I think it's closed for visitation for Halloween 2010, but it sure was a sweet treat when we visited here.

I think I enjoyed it more than the kids!

Check it out here: http://www.munstermansion.com

It's easier than it looks! I slip on a pair of rubber gloves and coat my whole face and head with simple white Halloween make up(comes in tubes for about $2). I wait about 5 minutes for it to dry and go to work with a small brush and a tube of black paint to do the teeth/nose/eye sockets. Then you can go crazy with other colors for decoration. For facial hair, I just mixed some red and orange paint with water to thin it down and combed that mixture into the hair. The whole thing took less than an hour and that was doing it all myself. When I've done similar stuff for friends it takes about 30 minutes.

A quick, hot shower with body wash takes it all off no muss, no fuss.

Vash that is awesome!! I went as Mini Me last year and my mate was Dr Evil haha. Since we were both baldies we went as a team! Haven't thought of anyone else for the moment!! Being an Aussie Halloween unfortunately isn't a massive event like it is in the US  :/O

The King of Siam - that's a great idea!  I probably couldn't pull that off myself ... I'm a bit too hairy for that role!  But that's an awesome idea!

The Halloween plan so far is pretty good. We are having the costume contest at work on Saturday so Im gonna be Mr. Clean, have the earring, pants, shoes, white paint for my eyebrows and all that ready to go. After work we are going to the haunted corn maze which we always dress up for that. The Mr Clean get up will be too cold to wear so we planned it all out- secret service. I have 2 Sly cousins and 1 haired (will be smooth soon) so 4 bald guys and 2 of their wives will be going. The wives will be all Hollywood-ed up like celebrities/royalty and we will be their gaurds/secret service. We all have the suits and all that already, ordered the earpiece things on ebay, now just need matching shades. On Halloween we are gonna dress up again and go to a haunted house way out in the middle of nowhere. We are also planning a 'dry run' on the Friday before, going out to dinner and the mall just to try it out and see responses
