Favorite Musicians?
« on: August 13, 2010, 07:14:33 PM »
I thought this could be interesting, who are your favorite musicians? I'll start with a few of mine

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jari_M%C3%A4enp%C3%A4%C3%A4
Jari Mäenpää - The genius behind Ensiferum's early work and the founder of Wintersun and one of my personal favorite metal vocalists of all time

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikael_%C3%85kerfeldt
Mikael Åkerfeldt - Front man of Opeth, and Bloodbath. He is the lead vocals & guitar for Opeth, and he also writes all the songs for Opeth (not sure if he does for bloodbath as well) but an incredible singer and guitar player one of the best voices in Metal.

Who are some of your favorites?

Lots of different kinds, but pretty big into eminem.
The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the Past better than it was,
the Present worse than it is & the future less resolved than it will be.

But definitely in my top 10:

Bruce Springsteen
Neil Young
Frank Zappa

And on number 1 :
 :@` Pink Floyd  :@` (altough that technically isn't a musician )

And yes....I do like a lot of music from the recent years as well. ;)

Gotta represent the redneck side here.

Country-Hank Williams Jr, Johnny Cash, Jamey Johnson

Rock-AC/DC , Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers Band

Rap............I don't do rap! Except for Moonshine Bandits and Colt Ford
Our country demands all our strength, all our energies. To resist the powerful combination now forming against us will require every man at his place. If victorious we will have everything to hope for in the future. If defeated, nothing will be left for us to live for.

Brandon Heath, he is an amazing Christian musician. All of his songs are like individual stories. If you get a chance listen to 'I'm Not Who I Am', it's an amazing song that I think anyone that has gone through life changes can relate to.

Lecrae, undoubtedly my favorite rapper. To be honest I was never into rap, but that changed after a friend asked me to listen to 'Take Me As I Am', and 'Prayin For You'. Amazing songs!
