WOW.

This forum is what I've been looking for for a long time.

I am 43 years old and started the balding with receding hairline....and it has gotten worse in the last 10 years.  About the same time came the seborrheic dermatitis in 2-3 patches.   I've been through every remedy, shampoo, etc....from mild to strong with no relief.  The only thing that has come close is coconut oil for an hour every 3-4 days.

I have been so frustrated that I have almost shaved my head several times, just to get rid of the **%#*$* flaking.  Now, reading all of your posts, I have really felt secure enough to finally go all the way and do it. (And not give a flip what other people think).

Thanks for the moral support guys.

(UPDATED 07-22-10:  The profile pic is after getting most of it off.  Leaving a tiny bit to sun for a few days, then I will hit it with the headblade.)   Looking forward to the total experience.  Already have had compliments from going "almost" all the way.

Welcome, you look like you're a great sly guy. 
On your skin condition, check w/ your doctor--I've been the dermatologist full employment act since puberty and for sb patches, desonide lotion, http://www.ehow.com/about_5136829_desonide-lotion.html, works great.  It's cheap and effect for flare ups.
