The Personna Pivoting Speed 3 Trick
« on: July 19, 2010, 08:02:14 PM »
This works exactly the same as Gambrinus' Custom Plus 3 Trick, http://www.slybaldguys.com/smf/index.php?topic=12894.0 the Personna Pivoting Speed 3 disposable razors however can currently be found at Walmart in packages of 10 for $5.98.

This is what the package looks like.

The package says that there are 8 in the pack, but the ones at my Walmart and most likely yours has 2 extra, free razors in it. This blade fits the Headblade black adapter.

I haven't tried the blades yet but have confirmed that they fit. If you have tried this blade combo let me know if you like it or not. At 59 cents per blade it is a really good deal.

Thanks for the info.  Please post your results when you try them Kojak.   I've been using the "Gambrinus Custom 3 trick" for Headblade Sport the last month and a half.  I really like those blades, and the cost.  I usually get a good week of head shaving out of a blade.  I still use a Mach 3 for face shaving.  I tried the Custom 3 disposable for face, but I really like the added weight of the Mach 3 handle.  I wish there was a metal handle to put the Custom 3 blade on.  I don't really like buying two different types of blades.

They do.  I use a Gillette Sensor handle.  Might take some tracking down, but they still make them. O0

May need to try these as well - I've been getting two decent shaves from the Custom 3 blades.  If the Personna ones are any good, and can get an 8-pack for a little bit of nothing, then it may be a real winner!  8)

Try at your own risk. I tried the Personna Pivoting Speed 3 blades today and got nicked burnt and scraped.

I bought some HeadSlick today and may try again with the HeadSlick and these blades again on Sunday, but for right now I would advise to proceed with caution.

Yeah, I'm tempted to not try it again on Sunday. I may just do the front of my head to see if the results are any different. Thats to bad, because the price was right but the blood loss kinda sucked. lol

I was debating between picking up these or the Gillette Custom Plus 3's later today. Guess the debate is over.  ;)   I for one thank you for the blood sacrifice for the good of us all!!
