Day 10 of 30....Going strong!
« on: July 13, 2010, 08:13:28 AM »
Well, I am made it 10 days shaving everyday and it is just a part of my life now.  A very refreshing part.  Nothing like the feel after a shave in the morning before HEADING out to work.  Had a little soreness after the second day, but  I heeded the advice from the guys on here and took care of it.

My routine is wash very well, use a little oil, then Bald Guyz gel, and get to it!  I have a head blade which hasn't been opened yet because the results I am getting is fine.  I use some Nivea after shave balm and after that drys, I use some aloe gel--feels cool and great!  Have not had any problems with dryness or  bumps as of yet and in Mississippi, I thought that would  be a problem with the INTENSE heat and humidity we have here.  Just having a problem with the tan---taking it slow and it is coming aound, but not quick enough!!  LOL.

Reactions have been awesome.  One negative---250 positives at the hospital where I work.  Great to see folks who have NO idea who you are and then they finally realize they know you---very well!   I cannot be happier...If you are wavering on going SLY---DO IT!   Taking my wife to New Orleans for a couple of days for our anniversary and cannot wait to show the DOME at the DOME--SUPERDOME, that is!  Thanks guys....you really have no idea how you help people.  This site is, as Jimmy Buffett says, "A-1A"

Great, as we say in New Orleans, "Yeah, you right!"  Enjoy your stay in the Crescent City, it's Disneyland for Adults!  Don't forget the sunscreen, some color is fine, but you start looking like a boiled mudbug, that is going to hurt big time.

Congrats! I am on day 7 so I am right there with you. Sounds like you got off to a better start then I did. I had some bumps and skin irritation, but they have gone away!

I want to get the headblade and give it a try but I'm going to wait till I hit day 30, using it as a reward mechanism, lol

Congratulations -- I'm on day 19 myself. I've used nothing except a HeadBlade and haven't been happier with it - it's a very natural feel in my hand, which is key because I shave my face with electric and so am not used to wielding a blade.

While I haven't had any bumps or irritation to speak of, I've noticed a bit too much oiliness up there and so am starting to scout out after shave ideas that don't involve regular moisturizers.

It gets better everyday to! For me In the first 30 days I got my life back and in the next 30 I forgot that I had ever lost it!  ;D Also I used the headblade and headslick when I first started out, but I really feel as if the headblade is almost to gimmicky for me. I'm currently using some gilette shaving  creame and a mach 3 razor.
The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the Past better than it was,
the Present worse than it is & the future less resolved than it will be.

Mr. Ed. ..... sounds like you have an oily scalp like my self. Try using witch hazel as an after shave, thats probably all you would need . Works for me.
