Hello Every One,
Over the past year I have noticed my hair has been getting thin, and over the past month ive been getting some comments saying that I am getting a bald spot.
I am only 20, nearly 21 and I just cant imagine being bald, but, my Dad is bald so I guess its genetics.
I have three other brothers, all who have there hair, except one brother is looking the same way I am.
I have took some photos for you to see the top of my head (ive just got out the shower)
Are my worst nightmares coming true? is it time to pull the clippers out? or even the bic?

It's hard to say, the photo's are probably quite harsh given the lighting and how close you are holding the camera.. I think maybe it wouldn't be a bad thing to try clipping it down to a 6 or something to see what you think of the shorter look.
Im 22 and i noticed my hair thinning around the time i turned 21.. i have been working my way down the buzzing route until now where i am clipping without a guard.
Its tough going thin/bald at such a young age but you will find that there are many others like you that also have to deal with it at similar ages, some even younger.
That is to say, IF you are in fact thinning/balding.

You're getting there. Your call. I know a 22 y.o guy who has a pancake sized bald spot up there... probably should have shaved it a long time ago (unless he doesn't care...).

Hello Every One,
I just cant imagine being bald,
Are my worst nightmares coming true?
Chill, breath slowly, relax. Life moves on--it's only hair. Going bald sucks--being bald is okay--you can really get on with life. It's not a disease, just a genetic predisposition. We live and enjoy life sly, and you can too. It's really easy--but relax. You can not change your hair, but you can change your life for the better.

Yes, your worst nightmares might be coming true....you'll still have hair.

Chill, dude. It's just hair. If your "worst nightmares" are just going bald, you've got it great! Put things into perspective.
A saying I heard somewhere: "Unless it involves the words 'inoperable' or 'indictment', it's small sh*t -- don't worry about it".
Buzz or shave and just get on with enjoying your life.

If you feel uncomfortable with it, you should act. If that isn't so (yet), don't.
It's all about you not what others say or might think.

Find a trusted person who can give you an honest opinion. Is it noticeable? Next figure out what you want to do. Do you want/need to cut it shorter, so it looks more even? Gradually clipping it shorter might be a good option. You can always cut it shorter, but it will only grow at one rate.
From the sounds of things, at some point in life you will probably end up balding. Everyone's hair thins at a different rate. At each step you need to ask yourself, do you look good the way you are, or would you look better shaved.
Many of us on this forum have been down this road. For some of us, like me, it just got to the point of shaving it was the thing to do; to take charge of our lives. I'm glad I did, and like most others who have been down this road to slyness, wished I'd done it sooner. I hope this helps you on your quest to folical freedom.

MAYBE at its earliest stages. The lighting is making it look much worse than it probably actually is. I'd say you don't have to worry about it for a while yet.
