I few weeks ago I wrote in that about being back on the road to being sly. I grew out my hair for a couple years then I missed being shaved. (I shaved my head everyday for couple years with the first time I shaved my noggin being in 2005).
A couple weeks ago, I went to the barber and got a 0 all over buzz, but now gents, I'm happy to announce that I did the ultimate deed and took a razor to my noggin this evening. It felt like old times. I did start out earlier today with a trip to the barber....I had the barber use a norleco on my head...that felt like a great head massage. It felt nice...but razor smooth was still in order so i got home and took the razor out.
I have to say...I was a bit leary about going back to a shaved head a few weeks ago after getting the 0 buzz. But I smartened up and realized that I really wasn't liking the look of the #0 buzz and the grey stubble it left behind. Not as clean as a total bald head.
It feels great to be Sly again. the whole experience was just like getting back onto a bike.

Wise, wise words. Welcome back, Razorhead! Great to see you posting again.
Welcome back to the Sly side of life!
Razor, welcome back to the forum!
I can totally relate!

Getting rid of the grey must be one of those "mid-life crisis" things some of us do.
It's funny how being sly can change how old people think you are; typically people say I look 5 to 10 years younger!
That clean crisp feeling after not shaving for awhile can't be beat.
Those of us who are bald by choice should really be encouraging to those men who can't grow a full head of hair.
I went back to growing hair for a while, partly to please my wife who likes it better but primarily because I thought it would help my job searching after 14 months of unemployment. I was convinced the rejection I experienced was because of the Sly look. For the latter I was really wrong!

I was just so insecure from all the rejection, I jumped on a couple negative comments and blamed my Sly look for my not being able to find a job. Nothing could be less true. Exuding confidence in yourself sells you to others, regardless of your hair or lack of hair. When I was Sly, I was in control of my look and I was confident! I'm not saying there's anything wrong with choosing to grow your hair if you can but clearly my reasons for doing so were self defeating.
So guys, don't let the fact that nature made the choice for you be discouraging. Embrace your new look as a gift, rock the Sly look, be confident in who you are and you'll be amazed at how people respect you for it!
Stay Sly!!! It looks good on you!!!
Welcome back to the fraternity. I dont know how you could take having hair after being slick. I cant put a clean shirt on in the morning if I'm not completely slick bald.
