June 15th marked the end of my first 30 days of daily head shaving. I was busy during that time, on vacation visiting family out of state. My folks and inlaws all got a first look last week. Mostly it was a non event, even for my 99 year old grandma.
The 30 day rule is a must. It takes a while to get comfortable with the change. Some asked why I shaved, and I told them the same answer. It's easier to be bald than to go bald. My father in law was the only one to ask why I didn't try something to keep my hair. I said it wasn't in the cards for me. I don't want a wig, drugs, or surgery to try and hang on to something as superficial as hair.
Some asked how often I shave and how. I was telling my sister I use a razor you hold on you finger, (HB) and wipe over my head to shave. She said "That's interesting. I have a potato peeler that works the same way!" She got it out to show me, and funny enough, it's yellow and kind of looks like a Head Blade!
