Hairnet
« on: June 25, 2010, 12:05:53 PM »
I was on vacation last week to see family out of state.  While there I toured a water bottling plant with my son.  The guide was handing out hairnets to all us visitors prior to going into the plant.  I asked if it was really needed for me.  Everyone got a laugh, but the tour guide said "Go ahead and put one on so you'll look as silly as everyone else!"

I felt fine.  Most folks had a good laugh and so did I.  It wasn't awkward for me, but the guide had to think fast to get a snappy line and still be in compliance with any sanitation rules.

I guess regulations are why one of the butchers at one of the stores I shop at, completely sly (he's  full MPB as I've seen once or twice when away from his station), wears a Marine Corps camo utility hat while dismembering the meat critters into pieces of convenient size for sale.

Pics or it didn't happen!

Here's me (not sly at the time) with my kids and hairnets, touring a milk and ice cream plant. Younger son was 6 weeks old at the time but still had to wear a hairnet, per regulations.

I've seen bald guys with hairnets working the deli counter too.

Hairnets are why I went back to being completely Sly.  My facility adopted a no hat rule.  So It was either going slick or wear a hair net.  I HATE HAIRNETS!

I have a good friend that works at Jack in the Box, completely smooth like me but they still make him wear a hair net. To be honest a hairnet on a bald head can make it look like ham, just sayin...

Updated avatar to show all ears. According to your pic, aarrggh, you have a total of about 2/3rds of an ear!

Speaking of Jack in the Box, my local eatery requires that the waiters with facial hair be required to wear facial hair nets.  Now--
this is EXTREME!

Where I work in Disney, I have to wear a hair net despite being bald.  Sometimes I get people asking me "what's with the hair net?"
