Hi Guys, not sure if I'm posting in the right part of the forum but... here it goes:
I first shaved my head around December 2009 and kept it shaved since that date. Was pretty easy since I was diagnosed with Alopecia about 1 month after... and I'm not talking simple alopecia; I'm talking alopecia universalis
"Alopecia universalis or alopecia areata universalis is a medical condition involving rapid loss of all hair, including eyebrows and eyelashes. It is the most severe form of alopecia areata, with an incidence of .001% (1 in 100,000)"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alopecia_universalisBesides the eyelashed and eyebrows, alopecia universalis is a blessing for the "shading factor" 0% shade! I didn't shave for at least 3 months ;-) Now for the update: my air is starting to grow back! I now have to shave every day... my shading is not perfect anymore but I still manage to be near perfect. Eyebrows and lashed are now fully regrown... I feel more confident with those.
So, for people with alopecia... there is hope.. there is definitively hope
welcome and Im sure u look great either way-bald or with hair.
Thanks for the update, pdbrin. Most encouraging news for a number of folks!
Good to hear your getting your hair back!
Well I'm really glad my eyelashes/eyebrows are growing back... but not having to shave my head to be bald with no shade was pretty cool... now I have to shave everyday like everybody else
I will remain bald because I really like how I feel/look bald...
