I've been reading
The Leap, a book by Rick Smith, this week. It's a short book with lots of anecdotes of successful people and how they got that way. Has anyone else read this book?
He dispels a lot of myths about successful people being risk takers who threw caution to the wind. Even Bill Gates, who dropped out of Harvard, had a risk mitigation strategy. He'd tested the waters before taking the final plunge. Most of the success examples he writes about in the book started out part time and some stumbled onto their success. Others were prodded into it by their close friends and acquaintances.
