Wow, I'm overwhelmed at the welcome wagon!   Thanks everyone! O:O

Today was my second shave.  Unlike divorce, it was mostly painless and bloodfree.   ;)

hi there. I have the Remington. It has 2 snap on guards. The one that should be installed from the factory is the one you want, the balding attachment. Set the dial on number 1 and see how close it gets. But I have seen some guys use this with no guard on it at all, the bare clipper blade. That will be more of a true shave but be careful not to push it into your skin. I got the Conair Clean head recently. That is more of a true headshaver and gets closer to a shave than the Remington. There are Youtube videos of both. I love using different things on my head to shave or buzz down with. That is half the fun of being sly and then feeling how little or how much stubbble is left. Good luck

Adversity is an amazing thing.  Last year I had open heart surgery and had my arota and arotic valved replaced.  I new that I had a heart murmur, however due to the fact that I was carring around an extra 200 lbs the doctors never got good pictures of my heart.  Last year while walking and doing a little jogging I passed out.  The my cardiologist told me had I not lost the 200 lbs I would be dead today, my heart would have just blown apart.

This made me cherish everyday and I strive to be healty as I can be.  Today I am 185 lbs and in the best shape of my life, with the best hair cut of my life.

Don't give up, follow the doctors instructions and live and love life to the fullest, no matter what roadblock are thrown in front of you.

Michael, Welcome to SBG's forum. I'm just getting to your post, and I want to say I find you very inspiring and upbeat. What a great attitude!
I think that's the best way to get through life, instead of being dragged down you face it with vigor and attack it. I hope you can influence some of the lurkers and even the new guys who are "on the fence", as we say.

Keep at it, and keep livin'!    O0     8)

Welcome Michael and what a great testimony to the rest of the guys that no matter what cards you are dealt - do the most with what you have.  You're definitely an inspiration to the rest of us.
