Good job  at making the switch! I'm 18 right now and started thinning when I was 17. So I definently feel where your coming I sure would have loved to rather lose my hair at 40. But life has ways of choosing when things happen, I was always hiding my hair and looking in the mirrror even though it wasn't that bad. But the confidence I've gained from being sly is ridiculous and you keep getting more confident everyday you really get back to your old self.

Whenever anyone joked about my hair it was about me losing hair it was more like cueball etc. And the girls didnt seem to mine the slick scalp even though one I was with  always wanted me to grow my hair out because apparntly i look better with hair.
The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the Past better than it was,
the Present worse than it is & the future less resolved than it will be.

Again thanks for the comments Gents.

I agree with you Kenny, scary at first but once it dawns that it actualy isnt the end of the world...or that it isnt the end of your looks (despite the jokes) you can crack on with life with very little difference!! O:O

Welcome Sharpe. Good first post.

hey there bro !!

Im 20 myself and i perfectly feel what you say, but you have to accept yourself first , only then others will accept you.

i uploaded my sly pic on facebook and i got 53 different responses, most of them being  "OMG "!!!!

the thing is, the ones who know you for a long time, will take a long time to get used to it, u may even get negative comments, ignore them.

if thers good, thers evil.

go out n meet new people, im sure they wont be as suprised as others and,

and who knows, u might not go back home empty handed  ;)

or even better, not go to bed alone :p  :p
