Salon or barbershop
« on: May 16, 2010, 05:32:05 PM »
So I have been going to the salon since I was about 13, Im 18 now, and I am thinking of going to a barbershop.  I get a #1 buzzcut when I go to the salon, but I want to go shorter, maybe even sly.  I am thinking of going to the barbers and giving that a try.  What do you guys think, salon or barbershop?

Huh, I think that you have "outgrown" the salon & the barbershop.  Go buy a clipper w/ some guides, plug it in, and for the price of a salon visit--you have your own salon, your bathroom.

I' ve been cutting my hair since I was 16 easy as can be, bye a good set of clippers any one can do #2 #1  or #0.

You will also need a hand mirror to check the back of your head.

Skip the styling salon and head to a traditional barbershop for the real deal!

A salon won't do a really short buzz cut and they definitely won't do a razor shave.

barbershop. Or do it yourself, clippers are around $20.

Before I started shaving my head, I buzzed my own hair at home with a #1 guard.

In a salon, they're going to be very scared and hesitant to even touch your head when you asked them for a short buzz.  I have several salons who sent me customers that ask for short haircut.  They don't even want to touch such haircut.  So, head over to a barber shop and have them do the man's haircut that you want.

Like the others said, buy a decent set of clipper as that would be much easier and cheaper in the long run O0.

Also if your going sly, you could buy a decent razor for the price if 1 or two trips to the barbers/salon :).

That's the reason I have my brows waxed once a month by the lady that cuts my wife's hair. She's a hottie.  ;)
