Headblade is arriving TODAY!!!

My first Headblade is arriving today! I ordered the Ghost and pretty much one of everything else. The lube, shave cream, wipes, sunscreen, yadda, yadda, yadda.
I've been using a Fusion Power and Fusion shave gel up to this point. I actually have no complaints about it. I was just interested in trying the Headblade and the other products. My wifes hand lotion has been doing a great job of keeping the dome smooth and clear.
One question.....I have always gone WITH the grain on top and on my face. I would like to try going AGAINST, but I fear a hideous outbrake on my head. If I go against the grain and suffer adverse affects, how long does it typically take to "clear" up?
Thanks guys!

If you're like me, the break-outs of ingrowns won't come on the first try against the grain- it's the repeated goint ATG that gets me...
Mine normally went away after 3-4 days usually.
Good luck with the HeadBlade. It's not for everyone, but I think everyone should try it.

Go slow with that new HB the first couple of times! It's not a toy!

Don't listen to the naysayers! lol.

Good choice on the HB, I think you'll like it.
Be sure to follow the instructions given, no pressure on the blade end, take it slow and allow yourself to get a feel for how it works. I recommend using it for a week or so, to really get comfortable with it.
From there you can decide if you plan on making it part of your shave arsenal. There are many razor cartridges that will be useable with your HB, so you have many options to choose from if you don't like the triple that is included with it.
Good luck and keep us posted.

At the least, if you don't like the HB itself, all the other HB products you ordered are excellent, I hear.
I recently bought my first HB product besides the razor: HeadLube SPF 30. It's pretty awesome. I have a naturally shiny head so the matte HeadLube evens it out kind of. Not greasy either. One bottle looks as though it'll last for at least 3 months.
Anyway, I'm going to have to recommend getting the Sensor double blade attachment or equivalent for your HB. The triple blade that's provided with it clogs after every pass and it's nearly impossible to clean out even with scalding, jetstream water. That's been my experience anyway.
Good shaves to you sir.

I used to hate the Headblade, but since I started using the Sensor 3 cartridge it's been more pleasant.

Ok, my first HB shave was nearly a complete failure. The HB Shave Cream saved the day. Did the pre-shave routine, lathered up the dome, "set" the HB on my head and the entire blade assembly (triple blade and adapter) fell to the floor. It became seperated from the "body" of the HB...... Thinking it would just snap back into place, I was unable to re-attach it. I soon gave up on it and used my trusty Fusion. This morning, I thought that perhaps the "clear piece" that was on the adapter, opposite the blade, is to be removed, allowing the adapter to "snap" onto the HB.
Tell me, has the sun done done irreversable damage to my brain from being sly or did I simply neglect to remove that clear plastic piece?

After some more consideration....I'm going to return my HB and stick with my Fusion. I have never cut myself and I have been very pleased with the results.

Get the HeadBlade Sport and go with the grain at first. Give it a chance and I'll bet you love it!

I'm a HB fan. I use my fusion and mach every once in a while - but prefer my HB. Never had a problem with mine. But its one of those things where it works for some and not others. It definitely works for me.

I ended up going back to my old razor, but I don't regret giving the headblade a try. It works very well for most people!
