Going Gray...

I'll be 35 next month and for the past couple of years, I've been going gray- mostly on the chin when I let my beard grow out.

Just curious if my gray brethren started going gray on their head or facial hair like me? I think a lot of folks start around the temples, but I haven't had hair there for years- so don't really know what it would look like.

My goat is about half  (or more) grey. I commented last week about shaving it off because of the grey and Mrs. Koz said she loves the way it looks...... So it stays!

Strangely enough, facial hair usually turns grey before hair on the scalp.

Yuppers, my chin fur started going gray long before the temples.

No, the dome went gray before anything below the ears.  I'd say to those who remarked on the contrast, "Well, you know, the hair on the head came in years before the beard did.  It's clearly 'normal' for it to age faster and turn gray first."  My eyebrows are still relatively dark, the last holdout of follicular melanin (at least above the neck).

I don't have any facial hair, wifey hates it! But my temples are very gray.

Stray gray ones showed up on my chest first, then moved up.  Just remember there is an old French expression that says, "Never pull a white hair out because ten will come for the funeral."

If that were true, nobody would ever suffer from MPB, provided that they sprouted a few grey hairs before the thinning and recession started.

When I have hair, I have some gray hairs scattered around.My beard is slowly starting to turn gray as well.I actually wouldnt mind if my beard jsut went totally gray.I think its a cool look

I wish my hair on my head would go gray.  I have had a gray hair here and there on my beard for years, but my beard has always been a mixture of many colors (red, dark brown, light brown)  I'm sure it will creep up and go gray.

It started at the temples for me and slowly crept is way around my head.   When I shaved I was pretty much completely gray.   On the rare occasion when people ask me why I shaved my head I tell them that I went to my barber and told her that I wanted to get rid of my gray hair and this was the result - gray hair is gone!

My beard hair started going gray about three years ago....there's a lot of grey in my beard now, and it's crept up through my scalp hair.

The only thing I don't like about my gray is that it's that yellow gray that you see with some people. I need to get some "Just for Men" for the goatee.

I believe I went gray on the face first. The bottom of the mustache and the sides of the chin. I am unsure of when the head began to turn as I have seldom let it grow out enough to see what was what.
