I've been lurking here for the last few weeks. I discovered the site after shaving my head and found the forum to be incredibly helpful! I wanted to become a member to say hi and thank you for your insights on both the "care and feeding" of my dome to some of the emotional stuff that may go along with being a sly bald guy (I've actually gotten a lot of great compliments on the new look).
Why did I do it? I guess you can say it was about choice. Between the ages of 18 and 30 I had long hair. I worked with bands, played in bands and had jobs where the long hair wasn't an issue (the long hair was by choice). At 30 I cut my hair for a better job (this also by choice). Through my 30's my hair proceeded to exit my head, hello "male pattern baldness" (NOT by choice). I turned 42 a few weeks ago and decided to finally do it. To me it's a 'look' and more importantly it was by CHOICE!
Sorry if this was a bit long winded. Thanks!
