Iam starting of getting to riding my bike for about 30-40 miles every day for about 90 minutes a shot, there are some races in thinking of enetering for 2012, Tour of the Rockies which is in my own state, but the bike race is at higher elevelation usually about 8000 feet above sea lvel, i live at about 5000 feet above sea level, and RAGBRAI  which is the Great Bicycle Race across Iowa, but the conditions are humid, i have no idea on how to prepare for the humidity, what should i do to build myself for those races, it is about a 75 miles a day stages for about 6-9 days, Tour of the Rockies is 6 days and RAGBRAI is 10 days,
i weigh 245, i want to get to 185 before i do the bike tours
I usually like to ride my bike from Estes Park(about 8000-8500 feet above sea level) to Loveland  - the town i live in(5000 feet above sea level) along US 34 (it is a 30-35 mile bike ride) or from Estes Park  down US 36 to Lyons, then State highway 60 to Campion, then up US 287 to Loveland (50-60 mile bike ride) iam at the point where i will bike downhill, eventually i plan on biking up to Estes park then back down, but i wont be ready until next summer,
