HOW many "passes"?
« on: April 30, 2010, 08:18:19 AM »
hello fellow chrome domes:  during your head shaving routine,  how many passes (of the razor) does it take b4 U rinse out your blade before "scraping" your noggin' again?  i noticed that i rinse my razor after two passes.  if i am in a "hurry" i go 3-4 passes on the dome b4 i rinse it.

so... how 'bout U?  how many passes does it take b4 U rinse your razor while head shaving?  one?  two?  three?  four?  what's your story?

Getting the worst of the velcro on the top, I do three or four, back 1, sides 1-2 then rinse.  That's the first shot, before against the grain, etc.

Usually 2-3 and then rinse if it's first pass. When cleaning up I will do up it to about 4-5, since there is less hair to clog the blade at this point.

Same here.

I use a different razor for the sides  -than I do for the dome
The sides, I rinse each time as the sides are much thicker hair   - - and I do  the sides every day
The dome, unfortunately, does not require many strokes and I lightly shave the fuzz 3-4 times before rinsing  - almost every day

I do 1 pass then rinse with the Headblade going with the grain (though on top of the head it's technically against the grain) then 2-3 passes against the grain with the Fusion.  From what I've read in other posts I don't understand how some of you guys go against the grain with the HB  ???  Way too awkward.

After two or three passes with the headblade, but more like four or five when tidying up with the fusion.

I tend to do one or two passes depending if it is at the sides or the top or back of my head, although with my new razor that i got about 2 days ago, it tends to get me and the floor very wet if i shave in the sink because the blade handle channels all the water down and goes everywhere ;D, so i try to go two passes at least.

Front-to-back right side then rinse.   Front-to-back left side then rinse.   Back to front whole head then rinse.

average about 4 or 5 passes: sometimes more.  depends on how the blade feels on the noggin. 8)
