The sensitivity definitely declines over time.   Ouch on the cut -- we've all been there.   You earned your sly purple heart :-)

Yeah ... this will happen. For added healing assistance, put a dab of Neosporin on the cut. Our heads attract all kinds of gunk that can hinder the healing process. Especially if you're prone to wipe your hand over your dome from time to time. For irritating cuts, I use Neosporin +Pain Relief. I've found that I'm less inclined to scratch or rub the cut after an application of N+PR.

Welcome Mike,

In the beginning you want to be extra careful.  Go slowly and apply less pressure.  As time goes on you'll get a better feel for it.

On cuts, I do a cold rinse or ice to slow the bleeding, I use a styptic pencil (corner pharmacy will have it) then after that regularly apply neosporin/triple antibiotic and keep the area lotioned to heal up quicker.

The head has alot of capillaries and blood flow going through it.  That means when you break the surface it's a gusher.  But on the other hand, that also means that stuff heals up quicker.  For most basic cuts, I avoid the area the next day, then handle with care the next day.  By the end of the week it's just a little pink spot.

Welcome Mike. You are looking great. Your dome will get used to being shaved in time. Mine was very sensitive at first too. God Idea about using Neo Sporin
on cuts. I also use Witch Hazel after I shave the dome which is soothing.

Keep up the great look.

Your head will get used to shaving and will become less tender.  I am still a relative newbie to head shaving (40 days) and my technique is improving all the time, take it slowly at first and don't press to hard and get a good lather.
First started shaving my head on the 9th October 2014
