do you remember how baldness in other people didn't even occur to you when you were a kid? they were people just like everyone else. one of my favorite teachers in junior high was bald, a fact that occurred to me just now.

Sorry, can't relate to that at all, I thought my uncle Emile was ugly bald, and that my 6th or 7th grade teacher, the infamous Harry Toiletseat, was disgtusting and I wouldn't ever let myself look like that.

Other people's hairstyles have never been an issue for me. Of course, since I went sly myself, I spot other sly guys immediately 8). Lovely!

I think most men pay far less attention to the amount of other men's hair than one does to one's own.  But when we begin to obsess about "balding," then it's, "When the only tool you own is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail."  We all know it's a part of the inevitable human condition, but too often it becomes, "Why me, Oh God, why me?"  I've gone SLY on and off for a quarter century now, and am fairly indifferent to balding in others.  It's only those who go SLY that I notice--because, after all, the SLY look is not "natural" in the biological sense, as it represents a conscious choice to move beyond what genes, hormones and time have led to; to rise above one's biology.

I have to agree with Saint: as a kid, bald headed guys were sort of a figure of fun.  Comics, TV, films, all confirmed our feelings.  Bald heads were silly and funny back then, to most kids, in my experience. :D

Thank goodness the world has changed nowadays! 8)

Things were a bit different for me. Long before I knew I was gay, I knew I liked bald guys. So for me, it's always been a good look.
