I just can't pull it off! I am hideous with a shaved head because of... part 2

Hey everyone, all you cool lookin' sly guys. First of all, I wanted to thank you for all the support and positivity and wonderful outlooks on life. From the pictures I have seen most of you guys look really great bald and you have no idea how much I would love to feel the same way as you all seem to do. I have read so many posts on here and I haven't heard a single regret shaving your head. You all seem to love it and are happy. Well, I tried my damnedest to get some pics put up here but I guess I'm retarded because I wasn't able to figure it out. So here is a link to my photobucket pictures where you can see what I was originally saying... I look hideous with a shaved head. I have never seen a bald guy with a more messed up head. In the pictures you can see all the acne scars on my head and a few pictures of the nasty wound from the cyst that still hasn't healed after 2 years, as a matter of fact it has gotten bigger. I also included some pictures of me with hair and I think you will agree that hair suits me and because of the condition of my scalp, I just CAN'T be bald. Maybe a #2 buzz but totally sly is not for this guy

It seems unfair, as if MPB wasn't bad enough, I have to have all these other ugly manifestations. I wish I could be bald and proud but I have some serious skin conditions.
I find it strange that of all the posts I have read on this website, I am the only one that doesn't like being sly as it exposes all my flaws. There is also a picture of my girlfriend who I deeply loved that left me after 2 1/2 years together. She moved to London on February 1st of this year and she refuses to answer my emails and has blocked me on Facebook. Why? I have no clue, she left on good terms but I believe she left me because of my MPB. When we first met I had much more hair and I wore it up and spiky. She loved it. I miss her terribly and she was quite the hottie. Can anyone suggest what I can do? Continue to wear hats and beanies? Invest in a hairpiece? Help!!!!!!!!!!
http://s894.photobucket.com/albums/ac141/andrew73_album/cyst%20and%20acne%20scars/Hey everybody! Thanks for all the kind words and confidence building responses. I honestly wouldn't mind being sly if I wasn't so white and didn't have the hole from the cyst. That just looks nasty and I am actually looking into opening a malpractice suit because of it. I am now back to a #1 naturally grown out and I feel more confident like that for now, even though the hairline is more noticeable obviously. I wish I could get a nice tan but like I said, being half-British it is very difficult for me. I guess us bald/balding guys have to stick together because this is the only place I get positive feedback on my shaved head. Like I stated in my original post, my friends and family tell me I look terrible like this and I know they are not trying to mean, just honest, plus I don't get any interest from women. But what can I do? I gotta live with it until hopefully someone finds a cure in my lifetime. Hurry up stem cell research!!!

Hi Sequenceme,
You have a good head shape! You actually look like Dominic Purcell from the Prison Break series

Try to get some sun on your scalp! You will look 10 times better.
By the way, you are not the only one that does not feel completely comfortable with a head shave. I still buzz it, without a guard. It is good enough for me. But I know that, when I would follow the 30 day rule I would probably be confident with a shaved head. It's just too much work, since I am a lazy guy and I actually like my shadow

All the best!

Agree that you do need some sun. You might also want to check w/ a competent dermatologist about that mark. I forget the fancy name for it, but I had one that looked something like it where they had removed a basal cell skin cancer, it turned out to be somewhat problematic on testing so they removed it, the procedure basically scraped the skin three times, and it's now gone.
Your head's fine.

Hello S. ! Glad you joined our group of great guys. First off, your head shape is fine and you do off pull off the sly look. Wish my head shape was as good as yours. As per Saintc, do see a dermatologist about the spot on the noggin. From the pictures it doesn't seem as bad looking as you think. We are our own worst critics. But yes, see the the DR.

You're way too hard on yourself. I think you look good with a shaved head. As for the cyst mark. Go see a plastic surgeon. He'll close that up no problem and probably with a very small scar.
Your before and after comparisons are good and I think you look sharp but I can't help but notice you were younger and quite a bit thinner in the before pics. Everyone has an ideal weight they'd like to be, is this something that is effecting your self esteem? Also, your scalp could use a little less contrast against your tan face. Get some sun on that head.
I've said this 100 times on here but I alternate between shaving and just no guard buzzing. Sometimes even growing it out to a #2 in length. Whatever floats your boat. I'm sure it will look good either way once you realize nobody really gives a rat's ass about your MPB even a fraction as much as you do.
Step 1: Go see a Dr about closing up that cyst mark. It will be easy to close up and you'll have that monkey off your back. Take care of that pronto so you can move on to bigger and better things.

Choosing to be bald is a personal decision. You have said that mother nature is already taking care of part of the process, so unless you do transplants, a rug or wear a hat for the rest of your life, you are going to have to accept that you will be bald to some degree.
I have fair skin, so when I first shaved my head, it was the grayish/white color you have. I also had little red bumps on the back of my head and a few one the right side. The more I shaved and the skin toughened, the fewer red bumps I had, no I have none. Just the normal coming and going of life will achieve a natural tan to the scalp, remember it hasn't seen this much daylight since you were a baby.
I still have a shadow, but it doesn't bother me. Over the last 13 years of shaving my crown area has become quiet bald naturally, so yes you can see where I have no hair and where hair still exists. Again, it just doesn't bother me.
You have a great head shape. The cyst definitely needs attention, but as already stated here a good doc will take care of that for you. It might even heal better now without hair all around it.
In the end it comes down to what you are most comfortable with. If you are more comfortable being bald, then keep it shaved, you will see the color even out and the bumps go away. If you are more comfortable with hair, then grow back what you have and find a good alternative for the hair you have lost.
Good luck to you and find what ultimately makes you happy!

your head shape looks fine. The scar could be easily remedied I'm sure. Get some sun on the noggin. SLY suits you just as well as all the other guys on this site: you are being WAY too hard on yourself.

Wow! After all that I was expecting to see Quasimodo when visiting the photo site. At first I thought I had followed the wrong link.
There is nothing wrong with your head. One more time for emphasis: there is nothing wrong with your head.
Yeah, the cyst needs attention. Get some.
If you feel better with a buzz than sly, that will still be big improvement over any of the rug, drug or plug alternatives, but you can pull off sly with no problems.

you are being way too hypercritical of yourself. if you want to improve your scalps condition id suggest seeing a dermatologist see what your options are.
also, the reason these things are so evident to you is because your head is still pale. so just get some sunscreen on your head and tan it, and i guarantee those marks will be MUCH less noticeable if noticeable at all
but you look good bald, relax man

LOL. Wow. I have to say I'm shocked!!! I just took a look at your pics and was thinking I was going to see a guy that looked pretty bad and have to give him a pep talk about confidence. However, this is not the case with you.
You look awesome. No worries guy you look great. I still don't know what to say. You look like a natural with it and nothing odd in the least.
In this case, it is all in your head and you totally can pull it off!!!

You are being really over critical with your perceived flaws. I have some little spots all over my head too, it's quite normal, and I'm sure no one else bats an eyelid. I think the cyst thing probably might be an issue because it looks like a sore open wound. You have been given advice about how you can potentially resolve that. You will look fantastic once the skin tone evens out with sun exposure. You have a great head shape.

Dude, you are WAY ahead of the curve on this. A little sun on the dome and you'll be looking good. The cyst scar/injury/mark can be remedied with fairly straight forward plastic surgery.
From reading your posts and watching the language you use when talking about yourself, you seem to have some heavy issues and doubts regarding your self esteem and your looks. These kinds of issues only serve to further skew the already critical picture we each of of ourselves. Remember when you ask for feedback and opinions from this group of guys, you are gonna get 'em! These sly guys are pretty straight shooters and they're not gonna lie to you.
Seriously, from those pics. You are way ahead of the curve. You just need to do a few small things:
1) Chill out, relax, Chilax if you will. Stressing out isn't gonna improve the situation, but it will mess with your ability to cope with it.
2) Trust yourself. Look at all the facts in your situation and decide what is going to bring you the highest level of happiness.
3) Learn to look at yourself not for what you aren't, or don't have, but for what you ARE and what you DO have. It sounds cliched and simple, but in reality, it's one of the hardest things for a person to do.
4) Accept yourself. Really, fully, truly, ACCEPT yourself and your situation. It is, what it is and you are who you are. Hair or no hair, hat or no hat, rug or no rug. You are still the same person you always were and always will be. Accept it.
Otherwise, you are aces bro!

Hey, could someone post the correct link all I saw was a normal looking guy. I was geared up to see something out of a horror show.

looks good to me man. Here is the thing though. If you don't like it don't do it, keep it as a buzz. I started with a buzz then got shorter and shorter till I didn't see the since in a using a guard at all. Looks fine get some color it will be fine, the spots you say stand out... don't. If I was you I would go see someone else about the wound not healing your Dr should be all over that. If he is not then you need a new one. One more thing.... about the girl. IF she left you cause you were loosing your hair. You don't want that kind of person. Trust me if someone can only love based on looks THEY not you have the problem. Move on go make a new friend this week that doesn't know you and never seen you with hair. I bet it won't be a deal breaker. I am not one to talk emotions and feelings but sounds like it is time to move on.
