Treme--HBO's new series
« on: April 14, 2010, 02:10:56 PM »
Curious, any of you guys watch the new series Treme, about New Orleans after Katrina?  What did you think about it?

The story line is a little too disjointed for me.  The photography is good, the street music is good, and authentic.  John Goodman's character lays out in fairly blunt fashion the New Orleans' view of the time, Mississippi had a hurricane, NO had the biggest engineering disaster of modern times.  The line, "Isle by the Nile" to describe the Uptown area that didn't flood I've never heard before, I've heard it called the "Sliver by the River."
