It's Springtime!
« on: April 14, 2010, 08:57:41 AM »
It's Springtime guys, and I guess we will all have jobs that need to be done outside. I have just done the most awful job that I have been putting off for the last 2 summers  :-[

I had to scrub down and paint our outside garden lamp post. It was AWFUL.

So, tell us what you have been doing/putting off in your garden.

Pulling out the stump of a Meyer Lemon tree that mysteriously died, and cleaning "waterspouts" from the other citrus around the graft line, finally, pruning the sweet olive and swamp myrtle trees overhanging from the neighbor's yard in the back.  But, weather is great, Spring, loving it.

I have two fence posts that "snapped" off in the last year. One I barely bumped with a lawn tractor and the other was a victim of time apparently. I need to replace these two "leaners" soon.

Every single weekend of mine is spent weed eating somewhere....it's a continuous version of hell every spring, summer and half the winter- but I can't pack up and retire to the mountains yet. Maybe I'll be able to talk the wife into going when the time comes.  :Xo!  ;D
