Congrats Shadow on kicking the habit!
Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.

To all who have used, occassionally use or are thinking about using "smokeless tobacco" products--go to this site, read, mark, & learn--maybe bookmark it for everytime you even think about an "occassional" plug:

http://www.quittobacco.com/facts/effects.htm

Warning:  it is not pretty, it's not pleasant, but it does give valuable information on symptoms you need to be aware of if you have used or are using these products.

Makes me glad never to have even smoked!

Well done on kicking the habit, just got to make sure it is firmly in touch now!

one day at a time is right.  Don't ever set a target, or think too far ahead.  I used to smoke about 25 cigs a day, and I gave up without any help whatsoever after using gum etc in the past and failing.

Four years ago I quit, but it was hard going.  You just gotta tell yourself 'I did it today: let's try tomorrow...'  Before you know it you'll be free! 8)

Ever since I was on a Vo-Tech trip in 8th grade (electronics fair or something) and the kid next to me was trying dip, for the first time, SWALLOWING all of his spit; I didn't like the stuff much.

Oh, did I mention he hurled all over my leg.  We had to stop and have the the other 50 kids wait while I tried to clean up and still smelled like puke the rest of the day.

And @mango
SKOL!  (Scandinavian for cheers!)

Good God almighty!  :o :o  If those pictures don't put people off using that stuff, nothing will.
