Is this a good way to picture myself bald?

Hey guys. I'm new here and considering going bald. Is it a good way to picture myself bald in the mirror by putting on a cap backwards without hanging hair showing on my forehead, and then just picture the rest in my head?

Or would Photoshop be a better option?

I agree with Rob.  If you really want to go bald, just take the razor and shave it off.  If you've read alot of the messages here, you know that our message it "you love it and will never go back to hair.  Simple as that, bald is beautiful and very much in style.  Take the plunge and go bald.

i have a picture on my cell that i look at from time to time just to get used to the idea -- i got my hair wet and combed to the sides to reveal the head shape. works for me! first it's unpleasant to look at if you are used to long hair, but after looking at it from time to tome for a while, i find it not so bad.

Well the look is one thing.

For me, the sly feeling is there all the time, from the morning when I shave to the night when I lay my head onto the pillow. That feeling is the real important part for me, and it can't be simulated or imagined. You have to experience it yourself.

So, if you're thinking about going sly, stop thinking and start shaving. You won't regret you have tried it.

Got to agree with the other guys here. Give the the old 30 day challenge. Shave it clean, consistantly for 30 days. Give yourself a chance to get used to it. If you really don't like it, hey, it's just hair, it grows back.

You'll never truly understand what it's like to go SLY until you do it. The look the feel, the freedom. You just gotta give it a go.

I photoshopped my picture and posted it here back in October (I shaved 12/4/2009).  It was a good indicator of what I would look like shaved.   But like everyone else has said - the look is only part of the overall experience.   The feeling is amazing.   I love being sly -- my only wish -- I would have done it about 25 years ago.
