It's even worse in real life....especially when your the first responder or first on the scene before fire and medics roll to the call ....Driving drunk is just fu!@#$% stupid and I have no remorse or compassion for anyone that decides to get behind the wheel or bike and think that there okay to drive when they are impaired or even buzzed.

Murphy's law, The innocent one with the seatbelt on will succumb to there injuries before a drunk ( with no seatbelt on ) will.

As a former DUI offender (I have written about this before on this site) watching this video was hard. Very hard. I was one of the fortunate ones in that no one was injured during my incident. Every so often I do think about the "what ifs" and I remind my self that getting behind the wheel with alcohol in you is the most selfish damn act a person can do.

Remember there is NO damn such thing as "responsible drinking" despite what the beer and liquor companies say or promote. The only responsible thing to do is stay home if you are going to drink or not drink at all. Designated drivers are not a "sure thing." Shadow was right..it is F...ing stupid and I plead guilty to being that way one night too many. June 17th will be 4 years on the road "sober only".
Money aside (over $13,000.00 between fees, fines and a special insurance I had to carry) I was very blessed not to have to wake up every day with the guilt of taking another life. Many DUI drivers are not so fortunate.
Our country demands all our strength, all our energies. To resist the powerful combination now forming against us will require every man at his place. If victorious we will have everything to hope for in the future. If defeated, nothing will be left for us to live for.

This should be mandatory for all drivers.

I agree! However, it should be part of Driver's Ed!!!!!!
Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.

It's hard hitting, as it should be.  I do admit to being thrown a little from the rhd cars at first :D.  Since I live in an area where we have drive through Daquiri shops--yes to the car, you have to put the straw through the top on the cup so it passes Louisiana's somewhat weak closed container law--I think it would be helpful.

Those Aussies and folks in the UK know how to make good commercials. If they showed this here in the US and the one about texting and driving people would think twice.
