Bump Fighter Razors/carts...
« on: March 14, 2010, 12:08:43 PM »
Has anyone else used these? About 6 months ago, I started getting razor bumps on my face and tried a package of their disposable razors. They worked so well, I looked on-line and found a guy selling a great metal handled razor (think Atra with a rubber grip) and 30 carts for less than $20 on E-bay.  Took the plunge and they did just as advertised. Within 2 weeks or so, the bumps had cleared up.

I used the same set-up today on the head and got a great, irritation free shave, with no nicks- even purposely running over two moles i have on my head to see what would happen. Since so many of us seem to suffer from some sort of red bumps on the ol' noggin, I thought I'd recommend this style razor. They don't cut as close as a regular razor, but for me, the option of being clean shaven without bumps is better than bumps and cuts with a "baby butt smooth" shave.

The carts are a single blade razor with no "moisturizing" strip (which I prefer) and run just a few dollars per pack of 5 at Wal-Mart and the like. They'll fit on any Trac II style razor (they slide on). I was getting two weeks worth of shaves for the face per cart, but don't know yet about the head. I'm storing it in olive oil to see if that will help any.

Just wanted to pass along this other option since folks are asking about electric razors, etc. because of the bumps.  O0

I saw these the other day and wondered if they worked.
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

I'm too nervous of lopping off a mole or two to use anything over 2 blades right now. Even then, I used my Atra once and bled for an hour.

These razors are a life saver for me in that regard...

I found the Schick Quattro is good for this too. Those little wires on the front seem to protect the moles from getting nicked and I'm getting less bumps on top in the thin areas.
