Newly Bald by Choice

Well, I usually keep my hair pretty short. These days no more than a number 2 or 3, usually around number 1. Last summer I did the clipper shave, so I guess that would be 0.
But just this Friday, I went all the way. I did it for a good cause, raising about $1000 for St. Baldrick's - a great organization. They just did the clipper shave, but since I agreed to shave my head for kids with cancer, I went home and used my new HeadBlade. I like the look, and will definitely keep it through the coming summer. Easier to put sunscreen on my pasty Irish skin anyway.
During the winter, I'll grow my hair back, I think, especially so I can get it shaved again for St. Baldrick's.
It's great to find this forum and website ... lots of great information and resources. So I'm glad to be here and I look forward to learning from all of you!
Peace,
Pat

Welcome, and don't feel like you're obligated to grow it back, a St. Baldrick's shave can work if it's only 24 hours worth--can't it!

Saint Baldrick's is an awesome organization. They do great work, and their events are a ton of fun. I'm hooked and will be doing it every year if I can. You get a great look and help a lot of kids in the process.

Welcome Pat. That was a great way to join the world of the sly. Kudos on raising such a great sum for those kids.

Aloha Pat,
Welcome to SBG's. I too believe in St. Baldricks although I didn't know about them when I shaved my dome. Keep up the great work!

Too bad I don't have anything to shave. A very good reason to shave the dome.

Exactly. That's why next year I'll probably start growing it again after Christmas, so that I have something to shear on St. Baldrick's day.
