Well, despite Bruce Willis, the Sly look in the movies rarely introduces a warm 'n' fuzzy character (not that Bruce is Mr. "SNAG" [Sensitive, New Age Guy] himself).

I enclose two pictures.  One of them IS a "nice guy," one is not.  Can you tell 'em apart?

Why its Donald Pleasence playing Ernst Stavro Blofeld in 1967 "You Only Live Twice" James Bond's arch enemy who, played next by Telly Savalas in 1969 kills James Bond's new bride at the end of that film, "On Her Majestys Secret Service".

Ian Fleming who wrote the James Bond books often characterized various villians and their henchmen as totally bald which the films have often reflected, even today.

I actually noticed this too, that more often than not the bald characters are always presented as over aggressive criminals, or evil masterminds.

In one of my favorite movies (Iron Man), the two lead characters were both bald.

Sometimes that stereotype can work in our favor though. For instance, when a young man shows up to take your young daughter out. There will always be a lingering thought in the back of the young man's head about what this bald guy may do to him should he mistreat the young lady.

Another thought on the evil bald/ guy- Gene Hackman as Lex Luther in the Superman movie.  This evil notion about bald/evil really pis@#%^ me off.

Amen to these comments re: the evil bald guy image. It's too bad that the general, non-shaved public isn't aware of this forum of kind, shaved gentlemen, not evil doers. Tyler is doing a service to man-kind by bringing us together for this chat room. I've been in hibernation and haven't posted for awhile but am getting my groove back. T/w you guys soon,

The Bald = Bad notion is rapidly disappearing, at least in Southern California. The percentage of sly guys is just skyrocketing. You cannot go anywhere without seeing gleaming domes all over the place. Because of this "ubiquity of baldness", it's increasingly rare to come across someone who is uncomfortable in a sly guy's presence solely because he is bald. Admittedly I have come across one or two individuals who seemed totally terrified of me for a moment (a smile quickly dispenses their qualms), but that was more likely because they assumed, incorrectly I must add, that I was "la migra".

Ming, it's a movie and an old one at that.  Today, 2010, shaved heads are essientially just another hairstyle--and I think, and hope, that's what we're telling the combover'd, wiged, and receding guys who come here.  I travel a lot, and other than my gym, the place where you see the number of guys who have adopted shaved is the airport, business guys and guys from all walks of life--in Atlanta in particular, the combover is the exception, not the rule. 
No, it's not evil at all, it's just waiting for "art" to catch up to "life!"

ive noticed in movies bald actors always appear to be villains (yes their are exceptions) like the traitor in the matrix, John malkovich as a homicidal maniac in Con air, etc. etc.

they need to give the baldies the hero role more often it worked out well in live free or die hard
