That day is a Wednesday and I will be at a conference for the rest of the work week. My plan is to shave it Wednesday night.

For everyone going through MPB and thinking about shaving, I get that...that too is huge! But the reality is in a couple of months you can be exactly back to where you were before. For me, and my fellow rug wearers once we commit to the shave...there is no going back to where we were before! As well, for the MPB fellas who shave, it is a natural progression, for me, it is admitting to the lie that I have been living.
I was rereading your introduction I have to say from the mpb side, there's no going back to "where you where before." MPB keeps marching on, and today, about 2 1/2 years from where I started, the "base" that supported the combover is just about gone, even the "second" hairline in back is almost non-existent. I think for the mpb guys, unless they stop shaving almost immediately, there's no going back to the way we were--in fact it was the progression of mpb that had a major part in driving us to Sly.
And you haven't been living a lie either, except to yourself, because my bet is that when you clean up, the most common response you will get, and there really aren't going to be that many, will be that you look better w/o the wig--they know it's a wig, it only covers it up, it doesn't "make up" for you hair that's gone due to mpb. You can't live a lie unless others believe it, and my bet is that most, if not all, don't! But I really think it's great you're on the march to rid yourself of that thing. The purveyors of "systems" are really thieves preying on the insecurities that guys pick up from others. You have cut that program for you and provided a new model for your sons, and for other friends of your sons who may have to deal with mpb one day. You will provide a model that is truthful, honest and the only real way to deal with the genetic trait called mpb. That is really powerful, really strong and I commend you for it. -

Welcome too the site -timetobeme- .. As usual the guys have given you excellent advice too start you on your way too the big day... I also will be waiting too see your before and after pics...In the mean time browse the site enjoy all the postings and gather valuable info......
But for some reason shaving does not suit you let me know.....
