The reason I sing
« on: March 01, 2010, 10:40:44 AM »
Guys,  I've had a wonderful time in the music business.  I had the opportunity to live the Rock Star life (not so great) and play with some great musicians.  For the last 15 years, I've played drums in our Church band, sang in a Men's Quartet, the choir and solos.  I still enjoy every minute of our music ministry and I'm using the talent God gave me.

I don't do this for self promotion, I do it to reach people and help set a worship mood for our services.  I'll never be the best and don't care.

I post this video in hope that someone will be touched...the outcome is not up to me.

Nice pipes Max. That was very enjoyable to listen to!
Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.

your singing was beautiful. Was that what you made your living off of, your singing?

A long time ago, I made a living as a musician (full time and part time).  The past 30 years I had a real job.  I've been laid off for almost a year and keep thinking I may have to find a band to earn some cash.

Thanks for the nice compliment.

Great job Max!!
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.
