My hair is too thick?
« on: February 19, 2010, 01:01:06 PM »
Hi everyone,
I posted on here for a few months a couple of years ago.  It was the third or fourth time I had gone sly for a spell.

I'm considering doing it again.  But here's my concern, and the reason I stopped before: my hair is extremely thick.  Even when I shave against the grain (which I find very painful), or even when I shave twice a day, it still looks like a shadow.  In other words, you can still easily discern the line where my hair starts.  From a few feet, I look like a buzz cut instead of shaved, which I'm not a fan of.

I come back today asking you gentlemen if you have any new ideas to fix this.  I'd love to rejoin your ranks, but I need to look polished and clean for my job, and a shadow over my head is anything but.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

That'll do, donkey.  That'll do.

You rock the SLY look and the fact your wife loves it is even better!!!

I envy you, you have the best of both worlds...being BBC.

I'm confident between trying out different blades and skin/shaving products you will find something that works.

You may just have to change out your blades more often than most.

Cameron,

I had the same problem, I have really thick hair, If I ever skip a day, It's a pain to shave it, eventually the hair does grow in slower, it just takes longer the thicker your hair is.
