I was reading the review started by Warhawk back in September. Alot of you guys really liked the M5, not only for the price but for the shave. There is no Walmart where I live so I was a little disapointed. Today I was at Rite Aid for something else and of course I unconsciously drifted over to the shaving section. They were selling a Magnum M5. Personna is no where to be found on the packaging but i took a chance cause it was on sale for $5. Worth a try.
I've been doing some research and found that Rite Aid and a few other stores put there name on the Personna product. The razor and packaging looks exactly like the Personna. (A knock off of a knock off...hmmm)
I have'nt used it yet. I guess i'm wondering if it is still a "fan" favorite with you guys.
Thanks
Scott
Scott-
I use it everyday for my face )HB for the head). I love it and the value is unsurpassed.
I used it for both head and face today and I was not dissapointed. Same if not better than the Mach III. I'm anxious to see how long the blade last pulling double duty.....Just can't beat the price!!
I guess i'm wondering if it is still a "fan" favorite with you guys.
Yes, head & face, my Fusion is backup. It is hard to find other than WalMart though.
I believe Personna packages these razors for several retailers... Very common practice for manufacturers... (I work in food manufacturing, we make products even for our competitors)
I bought my first M5 at Rite-aid also, didn't realize till I got home that it said rite-aid on the back and nowhere did it say Personna... but it did have "American Safety Razor Company" on the back, the company that IS "Personna"
I've noticed that our local FREDS discount chain store has a "Freds" brand M5, same exact packaging....even Freds refills,,, $4.50 for 4 blades !!
Also... Be sure to go to the Personna website and submit a product review, I got a thank you note AND .... TWO packs of refills sent to me in the mail for taking the time to provide them product feedback....
When I run out of free blades, I plan on buying the "Freds" labeled refills....
