LOGICAL THINGS YOU DO (?)

Ok, this sorta piggy backs on the thread "Strange Things You Do"  cause when I started posting there I thought, "This isn't strange....this is totally LOGICAL"

One thing that I do that is totally logical to me is, here in Denver we have our share of cold weather, but unless I will be WALKING a good distance or WAITING a fair amount of time outside, I don't bother bundling up like I'm heading out from base camp to the summit of Everest.  In fact many times, I wear long pants and a jacket just so I don't have to explain myself to the question, "JEEZ, aren't you cold? It's 30 degrees outside."  Sometimes I will verbalize it, but most times I just think it.  "Yeah, but it's like 70 in here....and warm in my car....and it took all of 30 seconds to walk from my car to here....and now I don't have to deal with a big ol' coat, gloves, hat, scarf, ear muffs like you've got all piled up in YOUR shopping cart."  

I have a remote start function for my car.  I just point that baby out the front door and fire it up 15 minutes before I go anywhere.  Shoot, I've gone to the market (or wherever) in shorts and a Hawaiian shirt with flip flops on.  But I get tired of having to explain myself.

Logic #2 – I have a dishwasher to WASH THE DAMN DISHES.  I dearly love my Mrs. Meister, but she insists on putting on the yellow gloves and hand-washing the dishes before putting them into the dishwasher!!!  Anyone?

I'm there with you on number 1. I don't see the point of getting all wrapped up if I'm only going to be exposed to the elements for a short amount of time.

Logic #2 – I have a dishwasher to WASH THE DAMN DISHES.  I dearly love my Mrs. Meister, but she insists on putting on the yellow gloves and hand-washing the dishes before putting them into the dishwasher!!!  Anyone?

Especially aggravating when you have bought a "high end" dishwasher that specifically has a soft food disposal system built in, extra wash cycles, sanitation, etc. etc.--and still they waste time & water rinsing and scrubbing.

 I carry a coat in the truck and one in the car for the same reason , been to the store with snow on the ground dressed in shorts and boots have the auto start but My truck and car both are liers ,,,,,no matter what they say a Door is NOT a Jar

Not entirely on the subject but not entirely off either -  I ask:
Why put on yellow gloves to hand-wash the dishes?  I mean. didn't you all just eat off those dishes?  and the bulk of the stuff that is still on the dishes now residing you your stomachs?  Is the water that is being used, foul?  Probably not.   
What is logical about all that?       Hummmmm

It's actually illogical, but I do that, too.  I use the gloves 'cause the water has to be so hot.  It's really obcessive-compulsive.  I wash the dishes, then put them into the dishwasher to sanitize them.

I understand not needing to be prepared for every possible inconvenience. And yes sometimes people bundle up ridiculously.

But what about having a tire blow out on the way home and having to put on the spare? Or going to your car after shopping and finding the battery's dead?

I've gotten that....but that's back peddlin'.....the question was, "Jeez, aren't you cold?".....not, "Hey, man, I hope you got spare gloves, spare coat, yer cell phone, spare tire, canned rations, drinking water, flares, gps, tube tent.... "

I know what yer sayin', Mike....it's just fun....I don't get offended or lose sleep over it.
