First valentines day as a married man
« on: February 05, 2010, 07:48:42 AM »
Hey everybody! Sorry for being gone so long.. I got married in November, and since the wedding was so close to Christmas, funds were very low. I ended up buying Lyndsea a wii and a wii fit and some other games. For v-day, I want to do something the will blow her mind, but I have a budget. I can't spend more than $100. I know between flowers, chocolates and a card, that my budget will be in bad shape. So fellas, I need some ides. I'm going to cook filet mignon and shrimp or maybe scallops for dinner, but what can I do to make it memorable?

*ALSO* Her b-day is the 22nd, so I need to get some ideas for that, too

 Thanks for any imput!!

 Ice

Ice, the most important thing is that you make the effort.

With that said, you want to try to make it special.  Being it's your first as a married couple, can you "recreate" the first valentines day that you had with your wife after you started dating?  Then just add a little twist to make it new.

Congrats on the marriage Ice!

For years the budget was tight around here. The one thing my wife has always looked forward to from me is a simple card. I try to find a card that seems like something that I could have written. Then I always write something in the card to tell her why she is so special to me.

Also..... invest a few bucks in some nice feminine smelling massage oil. Don't say anything about it to her but as the evening is winding down just gently take her by the hand to the bedroom, slowly undress her, and gently put that oil to use. Everytime she tries to talk just gently shush her and in total silence other than you whispering to her how much you love her put the oil to good use.

A couple of inexpensive candles lit in the room will set the mood for you.
