...Party in the NOLA...  :px

Noodles has given you a taste of what is happening here, maybe this is what happens in every city whose team goes to the SB, but I think a few things are unique.
1)Whitney National Bank--staid, old line bank, survived the Depression, never closed--Friday afternoon, 3p--a tailgate party in the downtown main branch, jazz, food, everything bleeding black and gold-just unbelievable.
2)Schools are closing tomorrow--yeah, in an educationally challenged area they are closing schools so the kids don't have to worry about it today.
3)Tulane Unversity--no tests or quizes or papers can be given or be due on Monday
4)Stores are closing before the game to give their employees time to get home to watch the game.
5)As far away as Jackson, MS, everyone is wearing black & gold, the Who Dat Nation is expanding.
And that is just part of what's happening and we haven't even won yet.

Bless you Boys, you guys just cannot imagine what this means to our City, it really puts a lot in perspective, those people including those who claim to be leaders that said our City shouldn't be rebuilt and other such trash.  The City of New Orleans is here, we have a unique culture, great cuisine, world famous music, and now the World Champion Saints--Who Dat.

This country without N'Orleans would not be the same. Congratulations to "Who Dat".

I just hope there's no rioting in the streets like we've seen in other cities. Sadly, resident idiots of championship cities use a championship as a license to trash their hometowns. I have a feeling N.O. will be different. Well, I'm hopeful.

Congrats Saints!

Congratulations to the Saints and the Great American city of New Orleans!

We were all Saints fans here yesterday and when Manning threw that Pick 6 this place exploded!

Drew Brees is a class act that obviously loves that city. That team was on  a mission and as much a team of Destiny as any I have ever seen.

As far as I know, it was a wild crowd, happy, but "rioting" it's just not in the character of the City, after all a few hundred police control nearly a million parade goers every year during Carnival.  Maybe it's the water in addition to the liquid and personal spirits we bring to it.  New Orleanians are rightfully proud of their ability to party.

I am so happy and proud of the Saints! Truly is symbolic of NOLA's ability to emerge out of the ashes like a Phoenix.

WAY TO GEAUX!!!

Gotta say that i didn't think they could/would beat Peyton, but the most certainly did it, and convincingly.  So I have to add my congratulations too.    No doubt, that win will be a big boost to the N.O. area.
