A tragic loss that needs your prayers
« on: January 23, 2010, 06:18:36 AM »
Please keep in your prayers a lady I work with and her husband, the Bellamy family of Little River, South Carolina. Their 11 year old son was accidentally shot and killed yesterday afternoon. They are a really sweet family and can use all the prayers they can get.

Yes it was. I am not going to use this thread for pro or anti gun points of view and I hope no one else does either but this happened because someone was careless enough to leave a rifle out after a hunting trip. This was a completely needless death.

The family and friends will be remembered.  My grandfather once told my Mother when my uncle died, that there is something terribly unnatural to bury a child, it is not in the order of things that we are prepared to do.
But I'm also concerned that with the proliferation of firearms without any commensurate spread of instruction about and appropriate observance of gun safety, these events will not only occur again but with increasing frequency.

It will be an honor to intercede on their behalf.
