I never found out about a mild case I had until some Dr. gave me a Beta blocker for borderline hypertension that is part of the package with Type II Diabetes. Side effect--clearly stated is that the drug can aggravate psoriasis.
Since then, I go to my dermatologist monthly--mine affects my fingernails and I also have plamoplantar psoriasis. I have two topical lotions and about every four months I get a Kenalog injection. Direct injections via a jet to the nail beds has controlled my fingernails. That keeps it under control. A dermatologist can differentiate between the various forms of psoriasis to provide the appropriate treatment. The latest to provide relief is a laser light system. It's an irritating problem, but rarely dangerous or life threatening. What is it that Friedrich Nietzsche, said?, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!" Well, when it comes to psoriasis for my part he got it wrong, it should be "What doesn't kill you, sure can piss you off!

" Sorry Friedrich it's just my opinion.
