Just a quick note to say hi.  I shaved my head for the first time yesterday so have not had a chance to get any pics.  

I have been going bald for about 25 years and have been toying with the idea of going slick for a long time.  My wife has not (and is still not) in favor of me having a smooth dome.  Well, she lost the battle yesterday.  My wife and youngest daughter are being polite and my eldest daughter loves my new look.  Truth be told - I am loving it!

Work on Monday should be interesting.  I work for a small technology company where ribbing is an active sport.  I am bracing myself for a good deal of BS in the AM.

I have been lurking around for a short while and really like the content, attitude and Sly Guy community!

Welcome to the group Jay.  As someone who too works in the tech industry and who went through the same thing on December 4th,  I can tell you that from my experience the ribbing never happened.   I totally expected it and the actual result was I think one person said "ah you got a haircut".   I have had several of the guys come up to me over the past 4 weeks and say that they have been thinking about going sly for years and now that I demonstrated how good it looks that they're ready to take the step.

Wear it proud in the morning!  Welcome to the brotherhood (and sisterhood too!)

Welcome, good to have you and the new dome here.  Keep it up for thirty days.  My bet, a few fun comments, many more compliments, but overall, not as big a reaction as you might have anticipated. 

I, and others here share the wifey thing, mine never has learned to like it, but she knows it isn't changing so only the rare comment now and then.  Hope your's learns to like it to, but if not, it's not her head, is it?
